In the singletarian сircles of the contemporary Nouri, a philosophical idea was born that sahash and people are the same in essence and different only in appearance. This opinion is reflected in the image of the Peryton on the country’s emblem; according to legend, the peryton casts a human shadow, while in the guise of a human, its shadow is one of a deer.
The Nourians associate themselves with perytons and deer, as well. The phrase “You can be a predator, and then become a victim, and vice versa” reflects the characteristic Nourian penchant for analyzing any situation from different points of view. They also consider carrying out an experiment and participating in one as equally honorable roles.

Fespi kjele (fespi) — the name of the old language and writing system; it translates as “language of herons”. Fespiaria - “realm of herons”.
Nour (vild.) kjele (fespi) — this is what the new language and writing are called in the mountain region; it translates as "language of rain". Nourlayset - “people of rain”, endonym of the Nourians.
Nouri (vild.) is the name for the country that the Nouri people came up with upon entering the era of progress.
Note on Nourian language and writing system: in the mountain region, they speak and write in Fespi, while also being fluent in Vildomeahd and Vild, but have difficulty reading the new script. In the coastal region, they predominantly speak Vildomead and Nourian, they also write in Nourian and rarely use Fespi.
Note on Nourian names: names in Nouri are divided into Fespiarian and Nourian, and the same name can be pronounced or written in the Fespiarian or Nourian manner. For example, Bertalan and Bartholomew, Donkoš and Dominic, Moritz (Moŕiç) and Mauritius.
